What information do we collect and how?

 

Physio Flip's website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to deliver our services to you. The platform automatically collects certain information.  For example, we may collect your:

 

  • Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet

  • login

  • e-mail address

  • password

  • computer and connection information

  • purchase history


We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), and the information in your personal profile.

Additionally, we collect and store any information you yourself enter on our website or provide us in any other way, including user name during video conferencing tutoring sessions, audio or video during video conferencing tutoring sessions, blog posts, comments, emails or communications, and information in your personal profile. When you conduct a transaction on our site, as part of the process we collect information you give us like your name, address, and email address. 

Why do we collect such personal information?
 

We collect Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To ensure safe, secure, and quality Services;

  3. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  4. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  5. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; 

  6. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

     

How do we store, use, share and disclose your site visitors' personal information?


Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Tutoring sessions are all operated, recorded, and stored via the Zoom™ platform (https://zoom.us/).  All sessions will be recorded and saved via Physio Flip's official Pro Zoom™ account. We employ 2-factor authentication to secure the Physio Flip Zoom™ account to prevent unauthorized access. We will not download, share, or otherwise disseminate any Zoom session tutoring recordings without your express written authorization unless legally required to do so. For more information see our Terms of Use. 

How do we communicate with our site visitors?

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, remind you of upcoming sessions, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, market new services, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail. 

Should you contact us using our "Contact Us" form located near the bottom of various pages on the site, you will automatically receive a confirmation email from us to the email you provided confirming receipt of your message. 

How do I opt out of receiving communications?

Some notifications or communications can be controlled through your profile. Navigate to your profile and click on "Settings" to view or change notifications. To stop receiving other communications from us, you can contact us directly at support@physioflip.com. To delete your account, reach out to support@physioflip.com

How do I control what information is shared publicly?

Certain information and communications may be publicly available. This includes the username you select for your profile, your join date (when you joined as a member), and any blog posts or comments you make. We encourage you to never post personally identifiable or sensitive information to public areas on the site (including your user name), and to review what your "Public Profile" looks like by logging in and navigating to "My Profile" and selecting "View Public Profile". 

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for or marketed to those that are 13 years or younger. Should we be made aware that an account or information for a user 13 years or younger is on our site, we will take immediate action to remove the data or account. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe your child of 13 years or younger has provided their information, please contact support@physioflip.com

For those over 13 years old but under 18 years old, you must have a parent or legal guardian consent to both the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. A parent or legal guardian must also be present for and supervise any online tutoring session. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe your child under 18 years of age has provided their information or created an account and wish to have it deleted, please contact support@physioflip.com.

All tutoring sessions are recorded and saved for quality, security, and safety reasons. This helps promote safety and quality for both our tutors and students. Should you wish to view a copy of the session or have the session deleted, please contact support@physioflip.comWe reserve the right to maintain a saved copy of the tutoring recording if the User's behavior violates our Terms of Use.

How do you use cookies and other tracking tools?

Our site uses cookies to optimize performance and provide the best experience as possible.  You can decline all non-essential cookies when you first visit the site using the "Decline All" button.  Additionally, you can always change your browser settings to block cookies and tracking.

Right to Delete

You can request that we delete personal information we collected from you and tell our service providers to do the same, subject to certain exceptions. To request access to or deletion of your personal information, or to exercise any other data rights under California law, please write us at support@physioflip.com Please include your full name, email address, and phone number associated with your use of the Site, along with why you are writing, so that we can process your request in an efficient manner.

Response Timing

We will respond to a consumer request for access or deletion within 45 days of receiving that request. If we need more time, you'll be notified of the reason and extension period via email.
