If I sign up for tutoring, who would my tutor be?

All tutoring sessions are taught by Carlos Rojo, Physio Flip's founder, the same person who designs, produces, and voices Physio Flip's YouTube videos.  With nearly 10 years of experience as a tenured physiology professor, he knows physiology and he loves teaching.

How do the tutoring sessions work?

All tutoring sessions are remote and conducted entirely online via Zoom. You can either request a 1-on-1 personalized session, or a group session with other learners.  Once you've booked a session, you will receive a Zoom link and you're all set to go!

Note: tutoring sessions are not available to those 14 years of age or younger. Those under 18 years of age must have parent or legal guardian approval and be supervised during the entire session. All tutoring sessions are recorded to ensure a high quality and secure learning environment for both students and tutors.  See our Terms of Use for more information.

What physiology topics does Physio Flip cover?

Tutoring covers a complete range of topics within an introductory, college level human physiology course. For more information on the content being discussed, click on "Content Outline" above.

Note: when signing up for a course, it may be divided into two parts. Part 1 typically covers the first half of the course outline, while part 2 will cover the rest.

I'm in high school. Does Physio Flip content work for me?

Yes! While our content is generally catered to introductory, college-level human physiology, the content is a great introduction for high school juniors and seniors.

*Note: if signing up for tutoring and under the age of 18, keep in mind that a parent or legal guardian needs to approve the tutoring request and be present during the session.

I'm in college. Does Physio Flip work for me?

Definitely! Physio Flip was developed as an introductory college level course and resource. The content aligns directly to first and second year college courses, and can also serve as powerful review of key concepts for higher level physiology courses.

When I try to book it makes me create an account. Why?

When you create your free account on the site you officially become a Physio Flipper, a member of our physio learning community. As an account holder you get the most of out of the site, including being able to:

Book tutoring or other resources. View and book tutoring, courses, or exams.
Review all your bookings. Keep track of all your past and future tutoring sessions, courses, and exams.
Sign up for reminders. Receive reminders and make sure you never miss a booked session. 
Build community. Physio Flippers can comment and build community on the blog, sharing thoughts and resources.
