Our Story
Physio Flip originally started in 2017 to help students in the classroom. At that time, Carlos was lead faculty in human physiology at a teaching college. Looking around, he noticed that students seemed disengaged. Boring presentations, memorization, and traditional lectures were not working. So, he taught himself how to create animations, tell short physiology stories, and teach in a way that put the student at the center of the learning using short-form video content. He also implemented the 'flipped' class, where students learned using the short videos at home, then practiced and applied what they learned to new cases in class.
Using this new type of video-based curriculum, student test scores in his class rose by nearly 20%. Since then, Physio Flip has expanded to help more students across the world through its YouTube channel and online resources.
Physio can be a challenging course. Lots of complex bodily functions to remember and understand. As a student, it can be overwhelming. We believe that learning physiology should be fun, engaging, and tailored to a student's needs. We believe that students deserve the highest quality resources, created by experienced educators that know how students learn.

Learning human physiology is hard. But you don't have to do it on your own.
Tutoring
Different students learn in different ways. With either 1-on-1 tutoring or topic-based group sessions, our tutoring sessions provide a judgment free space to learn at your own pace.
Classes
Built for students in the classroom, access human physiology videos and practice quizzes. Use as a supplement to your current course, or a way to get ahead in a future course.
Practice Problems
Practice questions help us...practice! It's an important part of learning. Solidify your learning by taking four midterms built by educators and tested in the classroom.
